End of Summer Update: Part I

I feel like I've been ignoring our blog, and I think it is time for some updating.

My sister-in-law, Megan, is pregnant!We are so excited! Brighton is due to arrive anytime within the next 2 weeks! Megan's due date is September 3rd--only a few days away!

I started school a week and half ago. I'm really happy to be back. I love it. I also got a new job as a server at a restaurant called Town Hall Grill. It is so nice to only have to work 3 nights a week.

Baseball

Benji is in Lincoln, Nebraska playing (well, he actually hasn't played a single game yet due to a concussion) with the Saltdogs. The team is pretty good, and they might make the playoffs. I guess that is good, but I want them to lose so he can come home. I am so ready for this season to be over. He left for Spring Training with the Braves in early February.
He went straight to Mississippi from there, and stayed there until he got released in May. Then he went to El Paso, Texas and played with the Diablos. He did so good there!
They had really pretty views from their stadium.
Right after his concussion he got traded to the Saltdogs. It was somewhat of an upgrade. Apparently they have way better locker rooms....and we all know that's what really matters!

It's kind of funny that we've pretty much switched places. The day we met I was stationed in Omaha, about 45 mins from Lincoln, and Benji was here in NC playing ball at UNC. Now he is there and I am here!
